身在异乡,特别想念新加坡美食及妈妈做的菜。与其想不如就自己亲手下厨。反正闲着在家,就做个家庭“煮”妇吧!要感谢科技的发达及一些美食博客无私的分享,我可以轻而易举就找到食谱。当然有些妈妈的私房菜无法找到,就只好通过自己儿时看妈妈下厨的记忆,自己动手尝试找回妈妈的味道。我希望能把这些食谱记录下来,不然健忘的我一定会忘记的。

Quinoa Part 2 --- Italian style replacing it with pasta
This is the 2nd experiment with cooking quinoa. This time I used it to replace the pasta. Using store bought pasta sauce, fresh mushrooms, green beans, tomatoes and some onion I cook this dish in less than 10 minutes. Another simple one dish meal for me.
Steps:
1 Cook the quinoa in a rice cooker according to the instructions on the box.
2 Heat up some olive oil or butter in a pan, add in the onions. Sauté till the onions sweat.
3 Add in the green beans and mushrooms and saute till the the mushrooms sweat.
4 Add in the tomatoes and saute for a while.
5 Add in the cooked quinoa and stir fry till all the ingredients are mixed.
6 Add in the pasta sauce and some seasoning like salt and black pepper. Mix well.
7 Cook the ingredients for another 2-3 minutes and you can enjoy your meal!
You can add in any ingredients you like eg, italian sausages, meat balls, seafood too!
